My name is Timothy Scholtz, and I am a Junior(as of Feb 2024) in Computer Engineering, currently enrolled at the University at Buffalo. I am a member of the Honors College, as well as the Engineering honor s society.I am highly driven and curious and am always looking for a new challenge or problem to work on.
I was born and raised in South Africa, which has helped my develop a diverse perspective of the world and an open mind. I have a strong academic foundation and a genuine passion for computing, and hope to be able to use this to make a good impact on the world.
Beyond my studies, I find joy in exploring various interests and hobbies. I enjoy reading, nature, and playing music, and I love hosting game nights with my friends. I try to cultivate a well-rounded approach to life.I think it's important to strive for balance in all things. There are so many valuable aspects to life, including family, learning, health, work, personal growth, relaxation, excitement, and peace.
I also spend time working as a teaching assistant for CSE 116 and volunteering at the SPCA serving Erie County. Additionally, I am part of the IEEE BattleBots club at UB, and spend some of my time tinkering away.
